It is our belief that horses can help heal a broken soul.

By pairing horses with children who have experienced trauma or difficulties in their lives, we believe healing can take place.

OUR 4 CORNERSTONES

  • RESCUE EQUINE

Our rescued horses are key in our mentorship program as they have experienced similar trauma and difficulties as the children. We often call them ‘silent equine counselors.’ Pictured above, is Hope before and after being rescued.

  • MENTOR CHILDREN

Our mentor leaders select specific activities to meet the participant’s needs. Our goal is to give hope and healing that will make an impact in their lives.

  • RESTORE HOPE

Many of our youth have experienced difficulty and trauma. Our sessions give space for healing to take place.

  • REHOME EQUINE TO FOREVER HOMES

For horses that do not qualify for the mentorship program, we adopt them out through contract to a forever home.

Hope’s Haven Rescue & Youth Camp is a faith based, nonprofit that seeks healing and hope for both children and horses who have faced difficulty in their lives. Our six week program can be quite transformative and impacts both the lives of the mentors and those participating in the program.

One of the new mentors who had seen him only a couple of weeks was asked what she saw when she watched him there and she said "Joy".  I got tears in my eyes when I heard that because that is a term that none of us would have ever have associated with him before unfortunately. To see him experience such "JOY" every week and be so excited to come to Hope's Haven every time has been indescribable and my family and I are so grateful for all of the positive experiences that both of my grandchildren have experienced through this wonderful program at Hope's Haven.”
